I think you'll find Golota bricked it against Mike three years after Lewis had destroyed him.;)

I just think that when he felt the threat of a physically imposing fighter he performed to a higher level and tried to slamsh them as quick as he could

I think Lewis might actually have a bit of a Napoleon complex about him.

Which, considering he's 6'5, is pretty bloody funny really.

I also think is that he knew he couldn't use the same advantages he was used in terms of height, distance and physical bulk, so he needed to get remove that level playing field. The only reason Vitali was as competitive is that Lewis was under-trained for that fight.

And I still think Vitali looked like he was on his way to getting KOd when they stopped it. He was seriously shaken by those uppercuts that split the cut even wider.

In retrospect you can devalue this win, as with a few of Lewis's wins, but at the time people really thought Golota could take Lewis.

You can see the abject horror on some of the faces in the crowd - pure disbelief.

Only Klithuggers draw on these lame stats to try and prove their man is greater.

    :dead:dead:dead:dead

Wlad is "mentally weak" while Lewis had steel in him

Wlad has a "glass chin" while Lewis chin was seriously underrated

    Lewis was better:deal

Doesn't work like that. You are talking in hindsight. It's like saying Lacy is Lacy or Cooney is Cooney. You have to take into consideration numerous factors. Lewis did an amazing job on Golota when he was at the best stage of his career.
