None of the above are as slow a Pavlik - not even close. None of the above gets hit as much as Pavlik - not even close. None of the above have as bad of footwork as Pavlik - not even close. None of the above has as low of a workrate as Pavlik - Maybe Winky. PW will feel Pavlik's power on a few shots. But you act as if he doesn't realize he can't stand in there and trade with Pavlik like he does some of the other fighters. He knows how to GTFO the way like he did against Margarito, who has much better stamina to keep chasing him than Pavlik ever dreamed of. And I don't know why everyone thinks he has a glass chin all of a sudden... People talk about he's so easy to hit and gets hit flush a lot. But he's never even been close to being dazed his entire career...atsch Either his Defense is better than advertised or his chin is better than advertised... which one is it?:huh PW is no Hopkins, but his combination of speed, workrate, stamina, and footwork are enough to get 7 of those rounds. And he has the chin to withstand a few of those shots if he gets caught a few times.
Anybody who thinks Pavlik would come out looking to box Paul Williams does not know **** from apple butter. Williams ain't no BHop. He is not substantially faster than Taylor, and probably does not hit as hard. Paul would have absolutely no means of getting Pavlik's respect, and if you can't get Kelly's respect, you're ****ed. In my opinion this would be a very exciting 5 round fight. The bigger, stronger, harder punching, tougher man wins, and we all know who that is.

Rubio had turbo chargers on his track shoes! Does anybody believe Paul would fight that way? I don't. PW would fight back, HARD, and he would go out on his shield. I honestly believe this would be the type of fight where Paul would get more credit for the loss than he gets for some of his good wins. Styles make fights, and this one would be a barn burner.
Paul wouldn't run and would throw punches unlike Rubio ... Rubio , after feeling Pavlik's power in the 1st round decided that he would rather just avoid punches the rest of the fight rather than try to win the fight.

I am big fans of both fighters , but man.... PW is not a full blown MW. He would be fighting a guy (for the first time) who won't have a huge height and reach advantage. Paul Williams gets hit fairly often , Pavlik hits much harder than anyone he has ever been in with.
I was going to let that go. They still have to try and justify JC's running like a scared little girl from Kelly. They always claimed it was justified because it was a higher money fight with RJJ, the man JC said he would NEVER fight because he was washed up. Never saw any official numbers on that, just a blurb in a Wales rag claiming they were told it made JC $10 mill. The exact figure he turned down to fight Pavlik? :-( Sure, why not....
