Ive been on here awhile. Every Wlad opponent of the past 3 years in the months leading up to the fight has been hyped, some more than others, as the man that is going to take down Wlad. Haye is just the most hyped of them. Is he world class? Yes he is. At HW is he world class and good enough to beat Wlad and do it easy? No he isnt. He is simply not proven. and I still believe Wlad is going to derail the whole thing.
Because is no longer fighting Cruisers. Did you read my first post? Barret was already starched by 5 times by different HW fighters before he lost to Hayes . . . . . . in short that "lone" fight against Barret at HWD doesn't prove **** for Haye. :deal
Haye has 1 legit win his entire career, against a guy who I'd pick to beat him in a rematch. everyone else he ever fought was completely unproven. just look what became of enzo, a guy nobody ever though **** of even before he fought haye, and think even less of now. And beating Monte barrett at this point really shouldn't lead to a top 10 ranking at shot at the #1 heavyweight. Actually..gaye isn't even top 10, is he? wow boxing's really ****ed up.
Because his chin at HW is grade A china. This is a guy who was hitting the deck against OLD cruisers and supermiddles.
but you have to remember haye was weight drained for those fights . haye has said himself he has a natural heavyweight body.
This content is protected * Too small: body mass, length, height * Doesn't move well: Unlike many cruisers moving up to heavyweight, Haye is plodding. Which might work against outgunned 200 pounders but isn't likely to be effective against far larger HW's, especially one with the offensive fluidity of Wlad * No chin: Wlad could literally knock Haye out with a jab, let alone a left hook or a straight right hand * Wlad is focused: Of course, this could work against Wlad and he might be too high-strung for the fight (which is probably what Haye is hoping), but he really wants to destroy Haye and isn't likely to have any distractions between now and the bout Haye is a lesser version of Herbie Hide, and we saw how that went with Vitali. Could Haye win? Sure, he could. But based on the size difference and Haye's weak beard (once dropped by a former SMW, Lolenga Mock, etc.), most people just don't think that's going to happen.
