Forget the fighters for a second. Anytime you take a fight against a world class opponent with skills, it is a dangerous fight, and it is a risk taking fight. Back to Floyd...for you to come out of your face and say Floyd isn't a risk taker is utter garbage, and sounds phony. I'll defend any top fighter who gets accused of "not" being a risk taker.

No, losing 7 lbs is pusshead. He hasn't fought at 147 for almost 4 years, and he is 32, and has been inactive. If it wasn't such a big deal, they wouldn't be negotiating about catch-weight... if they are even in negotiations.

I was expecting this answer. Hell man, the guys who step up to be the B side on FNF four-rounders deserve respect as men willing to step between the ropes. In that respect, they are taking the exact same risk as Floyd is. The risks I'm talking about, and that everyone already knew I was talking about, are the one you would like to see be taken by the P4P #1 in the world. Half of boxing is saying that Williams is the most dangerous opponent for Floyd. You go into Williams - PBF threads, and half the people think Williams would win. That fight would be taking a huge risk that win or lose, people would respect him for. Instead, we've got Lance here arguing the point that Marquez doesn't belong at 143. Floyd has every right to make his money, but NOBODY will think of his career in terms of taking massive risks, and this is another example. It's smart business, it's cool, it's calculated.
