Bute is waiting for the winner of Green-De Leon

Oh, no, a unification fight wouldn't happen earlier than autumn, and it would take place at Bell Centre, not in Quebec City, where the June fight is proposed to take place. Under this scenario, Bute's next fight would take place in autumn. Andrade would fight a tune-up in the meantime, in late summer/early autumn. Unless Bute fights Bika next, it's likely his next fight will be against Andrade, still. Unification is more likely to happen next year.

 

Well, Saturday will be an sxciting evening. Very good boxing card and the key for the future of many boxers.

 

Why is Bute not fighting Kessler or even calling him out? Bute is slowly becoming a record padder.

He said he wanted to fight Kessler in 2010, after he gets past Andrade.. and Kessler has problems with his promoter, Team Palle...

 

Before denigrating a boxer, please inform yourself properly. Kessler is boxing nobody. The only place he'll fight is in a Danish court. He and his promoter are in a big dispute. There were talks though for a Bute-Kessler fight early next year. A unification fight is not something you can organize 2 months in advance, which is the time Bute has left for a second optional. If the Andrade rematch occurs in early autumn, that leaves Bute 2 choices: a guy like Green or nobody. I prefer him to stay active.

 

I am not being anti Bute for the sake of it but I just feel he has made enough defences of his IBF strap and he should be unifying now.

 

It's true that Dibella will probably want to match up Green with Taylor if they both wins.

But on the other hand. That fight would be even bigger with two titles on the line.

If Dibella and Green believe they can win against Bute. They should take that fight and then unify with Taylor.

He's defended his belt 3 times, and he's only had it for a little over a year. How many guys unify belts that quickly? Plus, unification has literally been impossible. You're buying into Finito's anti-Bute bull****.

Anyway, it's very well documented why he hasn't unified. First, Calzaghe held two of the belts, Calzaghe wasn't fighting Bute, and those belts are still getting sorted out. One ended up in the hands of Karoly Balszay, a Universum fighter, which means that belt will never see the light of day until a mandatory beats Balszay, because that's how Universum always promotes their guys (see: Sturm, Erdei, Ottke, Chagaev, Dzinziruk, etc.), plus that belt wasn't in play until a couple months ago. Another one is held by Carl Froch, who's fighting his mandatory this weekend, so that belt has never been in play since Bute won his belt. The third is held by Kessler, who's been stuck in promotional nonsense since he won the vacant belt, and his own defenses have been against much worse competition than Bute's.

Of course now Bute can't unify either, because he has a mandatory due in late June, and there's not enough time to set up a unification match before then.

So here's the quick facts:
1) Unification has been IMPOSSIBLE since Bute won his belt
2) Bute has faced tougher competition than anyone else in his weight class since he won his belt, despite facing Joppy because Green pulled out after they had agreed to a deal in principal.
3) He is rematching Andrade once Andrade is back to health and the fight is due (after June).
4) He's expressed interest in unifying once he and the other beltholders get free to do so.

 

Bute should be fighting Andrade. Obviously he has no balls or honour. He got his ass handed to him and then runs the other direction. Great world champ and hero of Canada...NOT

 

DiBella doesn't want to fight Taylor against Green. He wants to fight Taylor against a big money draw, and use the threat of having Taylor fight Green instead to get a higher cut of the purse (and to extract more from the networks) for Taylor. It's called negotiation. This is what I do for a living. :deal

 

He is fighting Andrade. His mandatory with Andrade becomes due in June, and Andrade has an injured shoulder that he needs to heal before then. Where do you get your facts, son?

 

Seriously you should just shut the **** up, stop wasting space and read the post above a little bit.. Andrade himself said he wants to take time off and have a tune up before Bute, and he is injured.

 

If Interbox is talking about a fight against the winner of Green-Deleon it means negotiations most already be started.

They know more about whats going on then we do.

I'm sure Interbox and Dibella sees the Deleon fight has a tune up for Green. Have you looked at his record? If Green doesn't win that fight. He should hang up his gloves.
