In the 2nd round of the rematch, after Golota first dropped Bowe, he hit him with EVERYTHING he had....and Bowe absorbed it all.

There aren't many heavyweights who wouldn't have been flattened by that type of assault, but Bowe took it. After Golota saw what was happening, he went into panic mode and used his head like a battering ram.

He finally did overcome adversity in that fight and yes he should have retired. He was offered a title shot against Valuev if he got past Austin so I can see why he wanted to keep going, but he should have hung em up.

It was always comical watching Golota lose it when things were not going his way. He just wanted to inflict pain anyway he could, legal or illegal. In that second round, I think he headbutt Bowe because he simply wasnt used to beating the **** out of someone like that and still have them standing.

Remember what Foreman said about Bowe in this fight?

"Bowe has to be one of the bravest fighters ever in boxing. Right next to Ali."

Good news!:happy September??? Hopefully on my birthday.

JC, tell AG to put himself through hell & back in the gym...then the fights will be ez. I'm sure he knows this, but at his age, he has to realize there is gonna be much work involved to succeed. More than ever before.

Wouldnt that be something if a 42 year old Golota got himself down to 237, got a little bit of that quickness back and knocked Wlad out for the title???

    A pipe dream!:patsch:yep

Nonsense, it's just a bad shot. It happens. And the mid section is just basic polish power.

These are the weaknesses that I don't think Sam was ever able to help with. Bloodworth or Gmitruk might be the answer.

There's no excuse. Bowe was in better shape for that fight than ever. Even against Holy he was flabby. Neverthless, Bowe was big business and Golota showed him, his fans, and the world.

Andrew was tired and had enough. He punched him in the balls as a goodbye...

Golota's age and speed require him to be an inside fighter and create pressure... he's ****ing strong enough, just looks at the pics.

Well, I've got the pipe & the dream. And I'll tell you one thing. Just give me the chance to whip this monster into shape & I'll find a way to bring out the killer in him.

    You betcha!
