"Every fighter knows when he’s ready to do battle. I’m ready. My conditioning, stamina and mental preparation is on schedule. I’m peaking at just the right time. When you match his skill-sets with mine, I don’t see how Carl Froch can win this fight. This was the perfect fight for me. I couldn’t wait to get in camp and start training for this match. I’m excited again like I was when I started my career. I have a purpose, I’m fighting for a title, something lost and I want it back."

Methinks you've been looking at the wrong bookies, you can get 7/4 for a Taylor decision http://www.oddschecker.com/boxing/carl-froch-v-jermain-taylor/method-of-victory

Every fighter rattles that out before each fight, even when they come into the ring like a dead man walking. We won't know until fight night if he really is in top shape. The Taylor that fought Lacy would struggle with any highly determined fighter. There is no doubt that he has a far superior skillset to Froch. Froch has the defensive ability of a brick wall but he takes a good punch and keeps coming, he will be hungrier than ever on Saturday night.

Hopefully we see a good scrap.
    :bbb

    Edit*

Hadn't seen that quote before, thats a real gem.

Unless he has fixed his flaws they will fall right into what Froch does well. I admit I haven't seen alot of him but I think Froch is gonna KO his ass in the middle of the fight.

Froch went life in death with Pascal, a guy who almost got KTFO by a nobody, and you people really think he has a chance? I'm betting Froch doesn't have as much power as you all think against fighters in the upper echelon.

For better or for worse there's a lot of parrallels between this fight and Taylor's fights with Hopkins. Only Froch hits a lot harder then Hopkins does, will be more defensively vulnerable but will get going sooner.

I think the bookies got this one way wrong. I'd place a bet on Froch by UD because thats much more likely to happen then the bookies think it is. Infact in my mind Froch is the favourite.

This will be a good competetive fight, mainly because Taylor isn't the same, and is fighting above his natural weight.
