Do you thing it would of got more atention and credit for the war it really was? I enjoy watching different fighters styles meeting and to me i dont enjoy PBF style,it bores me. That fight was like the fights i have seen Gatti,MAB,Chico and ward in.It was two fighters who respected each other going toe to toe and to war,Hatton trying to stop Tszyu getting his shots off and Tszyu trying to take his head off. The posts on this site made me laugh after the fight cuz i think people just wanted Hatton to stand there and get hit. It had the low blow also, who threw the first two without being warned? Tszyu! Hatton did one of the smartest things i have ever seen after that, smashed Tszyu right back low knowing he could not get done cuz it had gone on twice to him unpunished. After the fight they were all over each other and KT showed wot a legend he was. That fight had it all but i dont think it got the credit it deserved, why?

Nothing would have changed... Kostya was not prepared 100% for the fight in the UK. He looked gaunt at the weigh in.

    No excuse.

He took the fight, gave his all, come out second best.

He praised Hatton after the fight, as he should have.

The fight could have been on MARS. If the timing was the same, the outcome would be the same.

Hatton deserves his praises for the win. Simple. Oh, yes. I am an Aussie BTW.

This should be another post, should all fighters who fight on the inside be stopped? Or banned? Tszyu never moaned and said"i lost to the better man" if we did not have different styles boxing would be a bore! Tszyu was using his head and hit more low blows that night.

It was a good fight and i won £96 off a £2 bet :) Anyway the problem is if that had have been in the US then it would have been with a different ref who wouldn't have let it play out the way it did. Not saying that British refs are better or vice versa I just believe that Vann (was it Mickey Vann or Parris) let it play out in a way that was probably beneficial to Hatton and more enjoyable for the fans.

Im a brit and Tszyu was my hero, i had watched Hatton for years and when they thought i was in termoil, the best man won and i think Tszyu passed the 140 batten on to a worthy man.

first of all, Hatton gets a ton of credit for that win. Basically most of the credit he gets today still goes back to that win. Secondly, it was Dave Parris, but it might as well have been Frank Warren.

mate, Im still waiting for a Brit/Aust fight to regain the $$ lost on Tszyu.

Hatton was by far the better man, and reigned as the better men for a good duration.

My $$ will be on Hatton, come the Pac fight. You'd be suprised, if Hatton was to fight in Oz, he'd draw a fkn huge crown also.

Do you mean Tyszu quit because he was actually protesting against corrupted judges?

The fight was on Showtime in America and started at something like 2am in the UK to suit American TV. Don't say there was no exposure in the States.

    MorrisSey!!

You realised that you won't have the intelligence or wit to understand him, you mean?

P.s. I love the post about Kostya quitting in protest.

P.p.s. Kostya was ****ing brilliant! I hope he's got a good life without any regrets. Can't see why he would have regrets.

Why,were you over there to gauge it or were you sitting at home in yorkshire wearing a flat cap with your wippet by your side drinking tee and watching Wallace & Grommit before the fight?
