Absolutley, at every opportunity. I also pronounce it res-u-may when i am actually saying resume, as in to restart, which I also use at every opporunity.

Do your mates say they're not responding until you start talking properly?

They all say it now too. One of them has it tattooed on his forearm, and he named his first child Resume. When she is old enough I look forwards to doing Resume's resume.

    I'm not British ,I'm ENGLISH.
It's not an expression that comes up much in conversation, and don't go telling us its an American expression ,actually its of Anglo/ French origin .
Still feeling cocky after your lucky win on Sunday eh?
I am from the "Garden Of England ",where we are still pure Ango Saxons, not mongrelised and hydridised with the Irish and Jocks.King Harold is known to have used the expression at the Battle Of Hastings,as in "as soon as I get this arrow out of my eye I will resume the battle".Have a look at the Bayeaux Tapestry, resume can be seen prominently diplayed there.
ps Anyone north of the Thames is a bloody foreigner.

I was referring to British . I don't recall McGrain and Robbi (two massive "resume" users) being English, unless they're really from Manchester and feel ashamed to let anyone know.

Well technically they should not be using the term as they are really not qualified, but we can make them honorary British,as long as they keep that blue paint off their faces.

Though Rosenbloom did sometimes concede weight I think Greb did it much more regularly and with more success so I will stay with Harry.

UP-DATE: This might be a little easier to understand:

I would go with Maxie Rosenbloom. He fought 82 different boxers a total of 172 times, that were rated in the Top 10 at one time or another.

thats well in excess of 100 fights against the best middles, light heavies and heavies. Plenty of Hall of Famers as well.

    73–35-22 (1 NC) = 131

He also fought the following boxers that were rated in the Top 10 at one time or another.

    Young Johnny Burns – 0-0-1

    Battling Bozo – 1-0-3
    Patsy Perroni - 1-0-0

    106-39-26 (1 NC) = 172

That is by far the most Top 10 contenders that 1 boxer ever fought. The next highest is 109. If you go by percentage wise, Ali is on top with over 80% (49 out of 61).

He also beat Ted Kid Lewis, BUT even though Lewis was a Champion, he was never rated in the Top 10 by Ring because they didn't have ratings until 1925 and Lewis was past his prime by then.

I said Grebs list is better for me because he conceded weight very frequently, and your last comment underlines this as Lewis was a welter weight and Rosenbloom a LHVY.
