Just checking out the Lennox Lewis dressing room clip after the Holyfield fight on the Classic I suddenly realised that the first time I'd heard of anything in boxing was the hell being raised about the decision.

So what was your first boxing memory?

i never watched boxing while i was boxing, strangely enough.

first fight i remember seeing was oscar de la hoya - hector camacho.

camacho wore this ridiculous 'space suit' that hopkins would have been proud of....

this god awfull ad on tv for hagler vs john mugabi. hagler is in safari gear by a fire and mugabi jumps out and hagler says some cheesy line like " oh no, it's the beast!". back when fights were on saturday afternoons on abc's wide world of sports. the fight was much better then the ad.

Either Tyson knocking someone out or the Lewis vs Holyfield fight, can't be sure which one was first.

Not one memory in particular but rather the entire Mike Tyson phenomenon that swept through the late 80's. Maybe Tyson fighting Tubbs in Japan.

Tyson vs. Spinks. That made a pretty big impression.

Tyson getting knocked out in Japan I guess.
Probably something older that hardly lingers much now.
