Froch's "0" will go come Saturday

Froch is going to knock taylor out. Im basing it on watching Froch for about 3 or 4 years, and Taylor for about the same time. See the Taylor-Pavlik KO fight, it showed Taylor up as lacking balls, heart, and determination. Pavlik, who must be the most over-rated and one dimensional guy ever to be rated as the number 1 middleweight, was ready to go early, but Taylor couldnt finish him off. I said right away that i thought Pavlik would come back, becasue for all his limitations he has all the heart in the world. Froch is a much better fighter than Pavlik. He's bigger, more akward in style, has a better chin and hits harder. Thats why he's gonna KO Tayor. Mark my words. He'll be too big and powerful for that imposter taylor.

I'm not sure if Taylor will stop him, but it could be possible no matter how good his chin is. Froch does not defend himself, and when he gets hit he gets even more reckless. I also don't think he has the reflexes to carry him through when he keeps his hands down. This spells disaster against the handspeed and athleticism of Jermain Taylor.

I think Froch's pride and chin might just carry him through some bad moments. It could however be one of those Margarito/Mosley type fights where a solid chinned guy takes so much leather from a guy with handspeed.

 

I get the feeling that a lot of the Froch fans here had never seen Pascal fight before they faced each other. Pascal is garbage. The fact that Froch barely scraped by Pascal is a testament to how overrated Froch is.

 

Most likely his 0 will go on saturday night. But it will largely depend on what kind of Taylor shows up. This is his fight to win or lose as he sees fit. Froch has not been near this level before but i'm sure he'll give it his best shot. I'd love to see him win, but if Taylor comes to the fight in clever mode then he should have a fairly routine night. He's so much faster and more agile than Froch it beggars belief.

 

Froch could have beaten Pascal easier by taking no risks and just aiming for the dull points victory. But it was the first time he'd fought live on prime time network TV in the UK, so he went out to put a show on for the TV audience. He traded with Pascal and they both went for the big KO. He still beat him convincingly in the end. How many times have you seen Froch fight ?

 

I must admit to taking a liking to Carl Froch, not much to dislike about that dude, especially out of the ring (I know he rides up the Calzombies nerves, but whatever).

Only problem he's now fighting my # 2 favorite fighter, and I just CAN NOT cheer against Jermain Taylor. Just CAN NOT. All that said, I still say Taylor is a big step up for Carl, and I expect Jermain's speed to really be the key to this fight.

 

Strongly agree with your post, ( except, I'd rather JT to win) esp. the bold part. I've also felt from the time we started up talks of this fight, It's Jermain's to LOSE. He should have this, unless Jermain ****s it up for his own self.

JT's gonna win. Prolly a good UD, but ref stoppage while one of JT's super blurry speedy gonzolez flurries are goin' down.:yep

 

The only way I see Froch winning is he's getting completely outboxed and lands a big uppercut, stuns Taylor, pushes him back to the ropes where he can't fight and unleashes.

OR

Froch's chin proves to be of Andrade level (I don't think so, he was hurt by Pascal), and he walks through a lot of punishment to get off his own work. Taylor really tires, and gives Froch more opportunity to hit him. This is the more unlikely to me, because Froch's stamina is not so good either.

So overall, Froch has the typical punchers chance. One that is diminished by his own lack of handspeed and accuracy.

 

If Froch isn't garbage he will win. Taylor is garbage. Glorified garbage.

I really dont understand all the negativity regarding Froch ? its obvious to all that Froch is in a lose lose position ie; if he lose's against Taylor we'll hear all the "told you so" comments,and if he wins it'll be "yeah he beat a washed up Taylor"
The thing i find most amusing is that most of the quotes bear more than a passing resemblance to the same posts and quotes prior to Calzaghe taking on the SMW Tyson that was Jeff Lacy :rofl
Whatever you think of Froch he is the title holder,and is going to Taylors backyard for his first defence,that says to me he has huge balls and is prepared to walk the walk.
As i've previously stated in another thread,Taylor is a class act and may completely dominate and embarrass Froch,but i still dont think Taylor has the balls to go into the trenches if that's what it takes.
I'm just hoping its a good fight and may the best man win and both fighters leave the ring healthy.

 

I have watched a few of the Cobra's fights and really can't find any way he wins this fight. I am not a JT phan (don't particularlly like him either), and don't get into the whole america vs Britt or euro crap (I don't care where you are from)...JT while having many flaws just seems to me to be the better fighter. Froch has not impressed me against less than stellar opposition, and don't believe that will translate well for him in this encounter. I would see JT in a lopsided decision or a late stoppage. Froch's chin is one of the things that has looked good, so picking a stoppage is hard to do, based off of JT's more recent performances...

 

I am not negative toward's froch and would like to see him win this fight, just don't see it happening. On your other point Taylor has not looked good in his last what 6 fights (and I didn't like the decisions against Hops IMO..if you want to go 8...he has been KO'd and is trying to regroup a carear that has gone south...Having said that if Froch can pull this off it gives him GOOD credability, and would rate much higher for me than Lacy. Lacy was highly touted by many prior to fighting Calzaghe, but lacked the resume that taylor has. So there is no comparrison IMO that this would be the greater win....Your other point that this is lose lose for Froch? I don't see it, beating Taylor gives him imediate credability..maybe not as a great, but certainly as a threat and opens the door for larger paydays....I would say it is more lose lose for taylor, who if he wins many will say it was another untested opponent (more likely comprable to Lacy than the other way around)...and if he loses his carear is most likely over..I think it is that will motivate JT to a victory. Either way like you I am hoping for a good fight! Peace
