Floyd will need to fight first.

If he comes back and fights the welters he'll be number one following a victory.

I don't think you can just "become" p4p #1 again by unretiring, you gotta earn it.

When Floyd comes back, and Pac beats Hatton, PAc will be the number 2 ranked fighter on my list. I want to see how exciting a fighter is when they meet top comp on a consistent basis for years. It will all come back quickly to the minds of the fans when Floyd shows his skills again, and lets everyone know that he is the best fighter in the world.

I guess it depends on who Floyd fights in his comeback

Yes ******. You are in no position to be criticising pound for pound lists.

Mayweather's last fights were against a LWW at WW (who is overrated anyway), and old DLH (which he nearly lost), and Baldomir. None of these are particularly impressive victories.

this falls in the no-**** category.

In 2008 Pac beat Marquez, moved up to easily win a title at 135, and then beat the crap out of Oscar at 147.

Even if Floyd haden't retired he would have been relegated to 2nd place.

We only count the Marquez fight victory in Pac's last 3 fights lol, and many think PAc lost the rematch to Marquez. Had they ranked Pac over Floyd like they did Dlh over Jones who had not lost, I would've crawled across the ring, told you that you were the greatest poster...and taken the next jet out of the country!

pac retains number 1 if he beats hatton. pbf needs to earn back number 1 maybe by beating pac himself or a top welter. he doesn't automatically get his spot back just by unretiring coz ultimately p4p isn't just about inate skills and talent but also achievement and current activity.

you can't really justify naming someone number 1 p4p after a nearly 2 year layoff.

nope...in order for boxing to survive & become the most exciting, entertaining sport...floyd should be rank as #1 lb for lb...
