Why do so many people dislike David Haye?

But you forgot to mention that there's going to be a thousand people on ESB who should Wlad beat Haye will dismiss the win and say he was a blown-up glass-chinned cruiserweight anyway

If Wlad beats Haye, Haye has to go on and have some good wins at heavyweight for Wlad to deserve credit for the win; otherwise, he [Haye] really was an "unproven heavy".
(I'm not sure if being knocked out by Klitschko could qualify the glass chin though. Klitschko punches hard enough to knock just about anyone short of Oliver McCall around)

 

I'd like to think that intelligent reasoning is the rule rather than the exception on here but sometimes it gets a little out of hand.

True but one, infact, two heavyweight who had just as much luv (than hate) are Ali & Tyson.

 

It's just a shame that race still seems to play a part in how we judge people. I have huge respect for both men, especially Haye, (he's not really come up against a HW of any note and whatever people think of Wlad is is the champ and he's a monster). People forget that it takes real courage to make a living from the fighting whether it be boxing, MMA or any other form of martial arts and yet it can still be used as a vehicle for people's bigoted beliefs, badly disguised as support/denigration of one man's abilities.

 

I dislike Haye because up until the point that he actually does something meaningful at HW he is a Leper Messiah.

 

This is what I was after. Rather than the usual "Haye is gay" stuff. A proper, reasoned argument.

 

I don't hate Haye, not in the least. Exciting fighter as of recently, entertaining fights. But I wil say I do dislike all of the profanities and **** talking. I can't watch any Haye interviews with my kids around because he's cussing so much calling everyone bitches, calling all heavyweights fat *******s, pussies, bla, bla, bla. Some fighters see **** talking as all part of the sport, but continually being disrespectful and unsportsmanlike really repels people, especially the profanities. Haye isn't **** talking like Ali used to do, he's talking it to a new level of crassness.

It's too bad that Haye doesn't realize that he's not attracting casual Boxing fans to Boxing with his actions, he's pretty much doing the opposite. Haye would have such a larger fan base if he would just stop all the cussing and **** and just do his talking in the ring.
