Who's the more exciting boxer... Klitschko or Haye?

A boxing fan can see the diference between a real Champion and a loud mouth talker.

 

Actually he's not a combination puncher. Basically he throws one punch at a time, and only when he's got his opponent hurt does he begin to put punches in bunches. But true combination punching is not the basis of his tactics.

 

To be fair, a big chunk of those 55 fights were against complete rubbish. But, yeah, Wlad is definitely a proven heavyweight commodity, and Haye is a big "what if?"

 

I never claimed that he is a 'combination puncher' but, as you rightly said, when his opponents are hurt he turns it on. When this happens, it is impossible not to be impressed.

 

Actually they share a lot in terms of tactics, Haye and Wlad, regardless of weight divisions. Both circle on the outside looking to land something big and then finish their man off. Difference is that Wlad does in a more methodical manner, he's a schooled boxer, while Haye relies on his instinct and his moves are dictated by the situation.

 

I think Wlad is the best HW boxer out there, by some margin. He should beat Haye handily too.

Haye though, isn't quite as bad as some on here make out. He is considerably smaller, less experienced and tactically naiive when compared to Wlad but he still possess a real threat to his reign. Anyone who is so dismissive of Haye is a fool.

 

Well, this is true of anyone finishing off his opponent. When someone is rendered defenseless and is getting punched in the head with 5 or 6 hits before going down it's always impressive. That's why many people don't watch boxing - they only watch knockouts.

At least with Haye in there, this fight turns up the volume. But, if Wlad wins, back to the same dull heavyweight division.

 

If Haye loses to Klitschko it doesn't mean he can't still fight at heavy and give us exciting fights. Or does it?

 

haye is more exciting... anyone who says other wise is either a klitschko nuthugger or they're trying to prove that they know a lot about boxing by going againsy the obvious answer
