The rumor mill seems to be getting carried away as usual. Does anyone have a credible source regarding just what kind of a beating Lara dished out to Hatton? A friend who is a casual fan but not prone to BS said he heard on the radio that Lara damn near knocked Hatton out. I tend not to believe these stories unless they come from something a little more verifiable than "the radio", and someone a little more objective than, say, the opposing camp. What have you heard or read, and where did you hear or read it?
Would anybody be surprised by this? Lara would have been in better shape than Hatton when the sparring started and he's quite a bit bigger. And Lara is very, very talented.
so manny is knocking out his taco stand sparring partners, while ricky's top of the line sparring partners are hurting him.....GOOD ricky will be more ready come fightnight :freddy
those aint the ones he's knocking out :yep:yep:yep i'm talking about the ones the media makes a bid deal about.....then they take off their head guard, and they look like the guy down the street washing my windows....:bart
Lets get it straight, Lara would beat seven shades of shite out of Pac, so even if he was beating up on Hatton, it means nothing.
I seriously doubt that. Manny sparred with plenty of junior middles as prep for Oscar. Lara isn't even a contender at 154, he's a prospect. I didn't know that they brought Lara in while Hatton was still getting his weight down into the 150s. That explains a lot.
Nobody gives a **** about worthless sparring sessions. Gary Bell kicked Holyfield's ass every day in sparring leading up to the Tyson fight. It meant nothing.
Just like being buzzed by a great shot, or knocked down by a peach of a punch means nothing to you with regards to chins?
