Pavlik has a pretty average chin. It's not bad, but he's been put down a number of times and not always by huge punchers. Zertuche and McKart dropped him clean.

Same with Mayorga, especially recently. Maybe he hasn't been down much, but he's been hurt a lot lately, and it's not like DLH was a big puncher at 154.

 

Pavlik doesnt have great chin, goot not great.

It's not all about power. Floyd caught him with supremely accurate punches that he didn't see coming.

He take absolute hell from Kosta Tzsyu who's a far bigger puncher than Floyd. Just goes to show power isn't always the key. If Hatton can see punches coming, he can take them. He has a good chin.

Hatton's is far from great or even good. It is about average.

The Tzsyu fight was a sloppy mess do to that crooked Brit referee that let Hatton do his John Ruiz impersonation that fight did not prove a damn thing about his Chin.


he was hurt bad by Colazzo, KOed by feather fisted and fragile handed Mayweather, hurt bad against Lazcano that is far from having a great Chin.

Me might arguably have a good chin, but the thread is asking for the best chins. Hatton is not up there in the "best chins" category of todays fighters.

 

How does Mayorga not have a granite chin? Yeah he gets KO'd, after taking a thousand flush shots. It's granite. Or it was granite, it probably softened gradually after so many shots.

 

CArl Froch? dont like him, infact i hate him but cant ignore the fact that he can take some bombs!
