The statement about trading with anyone is preposterous. If he came to the ring with that attitude, Miranda, Bika, Andrade, Kessler, Pavlik, Abraham, and probably a few others would light his ass up. The statement itself is plain silly. There is more to punch resistance, and getting hurt, than just the ability to take a concussive punch. Case in point: Who hurt Pavlik? Power punchers couldn't buy a blink with their life savings, but guys with fast hands rocked his world. Froch is going to find out "speed kills!"

Simple physics tells us that speed is one part of the equation here. More speed will lead to more power, it is just the guys with speed develop the habit in the amateurs of using speed to score points and bring their hands back too fast instead of following through. If Taylor has changed his ways, it could be even worse for Froch than we think. I'm not sure what Ozell has him working on.

Here we go again. Let's match Pavlik up against every one from 168 and up to show how beatable he is... groan....

Yeah, who? Taylor has a longer reach and is the taller man.

Taylor is taller on paper but Froch is the bigger man. But the thing is the mistakes Taylor makes are not ones that he would get in trouble by Froch. Froch if not a come forward aggressive fighter. He sprawls around the ring like an idiot and tries to counter you with the same cartoonish uppercut. You literally have to walk chin first into it. He also throws it from a distance....his hands are slow his feet are slow. He has good body punching but if JT stays behind the jab there is nothing Froch can do. If he comes forward with his clumsy ass he is going to get caught with something. Taylor can hit, I dont see a knockout but Froch will have to respect his punch especially early as he is right JT throws hard early.

You're getting ahead of yourself. That is still yet to be determined.

    They're both listed as 6 ft 1.

No. Froch should've stopped Pascal. I don't even mind the argument that Pascal was the boigger puncher. very possibly true. But if anyone was saved in that fight, it was Pascal because of Froch's hugely questionable stamina. Froch's one of my two or three favourite fighters, so I'm biased about his chin,

But, hell, I admit his flaws as well.

Wanna avatar bet on the Taylor fight? I'll take anything on that. Froch will win big.

This hardly matters, but, no, Froch is not listed as 6'1.

I saw a detailed "Tale of the Tape" online, and there isn't a nickels worth of size difference between them.

I have to believe that Taylor can not KO Froch given the fact he could not KO Cory Spinks but I am sure Taylor has enough power to buzz Froch like the way Mayweather did to Hatton. So Froch should not be to complacent.
