Carl Froch, Mikkel Kessler and Lucien Bute still haven't faced each other.

Kelly Pavlik, Arthur Abraham and Felix Sturm still haven't faced each other.

Cotto, Mosley and Mayweather never fought Paul Williams.

And why don't Ruslan Chagaev, Alexander Povetkin and Nikolai Valuev fight at least one of the Klitschko brothers?

This list could go on, but nothing else comes to mind right now.

So how does the fighters avoiding each other imply the mafia are running the show?

The boxers themselves are the mafia. Could you imagine if Ray Robinson, Harry Greb and Marvin Hagler were the 3 MW title holders today? They all fight each other more than once.

You sure can tell a noob that is new to boxing...Have you ever heard of the phrase " Boxingis a business"

Just becaue the fights havent happen yet....Maybe they're trying to get the max profit from a fight...They want the public demand to be high before they discuss a fight.

I know for a fact that K-1 is run by the mobs and so was Pride.. I know this cuz a friend of mine was sponsoring a few K-1 guys but i dont know in boxing.. The Yakuza and the Korean Mob runs this business from bottom up.

In the old days, the mobs had their hand in boxing but not today. I dont know about in the other countries but not in america..

You may think I'm a a noob to this forum, but I'm not a noob to the real world. Boxing has always been a business. The difference is that today, lots of big fights just don't happen. Lennox Lewis never fought Wladimir, who is now the n.1 HW in the world. Mayweather never fought Cotto or Margarito. The list of recent champions who ducked handfuls of top opponents is never-ending. Could you imagine if Muhammad Ali had retired without fighting Ken Norton? Or if Ray Robinson had never fought Jake LaMotta? Today the problem is the boxers ducking each other and playing it safe. No way Ruslan Chagaev would have been called "champion" in the golden days of boxing.

Maybe the Noob comment was alittle over the top but I was only joking around so I do extend my apoligies to ya if I offended you!

Dude their fighting for money....Its pretty obvious my man....I wouldnt just call it a duck either...Just like you go to work everyday to get your income....They're stepping into the ring for their paycheck....Just because they dont fight each other doesnt mean they're ducking each other....As a fan that may suck ass to us but as a hard working man...I cant knock them for getting the most out of their career.

HaHaHaHa. Boxing today is run by the mob and it's poor but you ignore the mafias role in making the Robinson v Lamotta fights happen.

Yeah I could imagine if Ali had retired pre norton in fact I wish he had.

Lewis v Wlad are you serious?

Floyd well he ducked everyone right? Everyone else on here seems to believe that.

If you doubt the influence of the mob on the Robinson LaMotta fights go to autograph signing or any event were Jake is at, hang around until the crowd dies down a bit and ask him yourself.

The two worst things in boxing today are selfish greedy promoters, and corrupt/incompetent judges and refs.

You're only looked at one side of the equation.

Hopkins fought Trinidad, Taylor X 2, Tarver, Calzaghe, and Pavlik.

Calzaghe fought Lacy, Kessler, and Hopkins.

Pavlik couldn't get a decent fight at 160 because of AA's mando, so he stepped up to 170, and fought Hopkins.

Taylor fought Hopkins X 2, Wright, and Pavlik X 2, and will fight Froch this Saturday.

Cotto fought Malinaggi, Quintana (who beat Williams,) Mosely, and Margarito. Now there is a strong possibiity for Cotto/Mosely II.

    Cunningham fought Ademak.

Pac is about to fight Hatton.

Kelly and AA and/or Sturm will probably fight each other down the road..ITS A BUSINESS AND SOMETIMES WAITING TO FIGHT EACH OTHER SO THAT THE FIGHTERS/PROMOTERS/TRAINERS ETC... CAN MAKE MORE MONEY IS BETTER THAN DOING IT RIGHT AWAY..

NOBOODY AT 147 WANTS WILLIAMS OTHER THAN CLOTTEY...WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME U HEARD MAYWEATHER, COTTO, OR MOSLEY CALLIN OUT PAUL??:huh

VALUEV WAS OFFERED 50 PERCENT 2 FIGHT VITALI AND IT WAS TURNED DOWN CUZ HE A PU$$Y!! POVETKIN GOT INJURED AND CHAGAEV PROLLY HAS THE NUT$ BUT ITTA BE A WHILE!:bbb
