and what happened in the reamatch when he used Reyes gloves?

Morales always wanted to use gloves that klooked like pillows Pac wasnt the first to complain about them,Barrera also complained about them after theyre third fight and he won that fight so it wasnt an excuse.

I think Morales liked to use the "Winning" brand gloves because I heard some say that he's got "brittle" hands and he wanted more protection.

I'm sure he'd wanna use the "Cleto Reyes" brand if he didnt have any problems with his hands. They hit harder, I heard. The gloves padding (horse hair?) gets compressed and gets thinner as the rounds go by, so it hits you harder.

The "Winnng" brand uses syntheic foam, IIRC, and it always returns back to shape every single time.

Oh i know bro i was just remembering the interview which was funny.

I never understood why Pac agreed to use Winning then again i dont understand how the glove thing works. Can a fighter use any brand of gloves they want? And whats so different about Winning that even though they are the same weight as other gloves they look pillowy?

    Edit: Just read bulas post.

Billy Graham wants to believe how good Hatton is. so did/do I. I still believe that the Hatton up to and including Maussa is an extraordinary fighter.

Pre-tyszu, he's all head and foot movement coupled with world class power. Then, the head movement (which was like a mini-tyson) goes and he decides to just use the (brilliant) Tyszyu tactics. For a man who appreciates the subtleties of boxing, it's amazing that he then forgets anything and everything he has learnt over the years.

the reason the Brits love Hatton isn't all to do with personality (he seems like a nice guy, but I like the true wit, self-awareness and intelligence - watch them when they're interviewed properly - of a Haye ('had to act like a tit to get the fight') and Froch, rather than the slightly false blokeyness of hatton and the extraordinary genuine arrogance of calzaghe), he really did have a sense of balance and talent that we have rarely had in UK boxing. But he should've been world champ two or three years earlier, when I really believe he wouldn't have turned into a one style fighter.

I think he'll beat Pac. but that won't stop Pac being p4p1.

No? Back in December Roach said directly, without any agenda or pre fight hype behind it, that he wasn't even sure if they wanted to fight Hatton at all because (paraphrasing) "...I don't know if Hatton is even good enough to be in the same ring with Pacquiao..." Based on everything Roach has said since then, he thinks Ricky Hatton SUCKS. Period. Manny is the only guy over there indicating this could be a hard fight in any shape or form. There's the regular chatter, and then there's the sort of stuff that Freddie Roach has been saying and it's unmistakable. He thinks Hatton is a mark, and alot of people out there agree with him.

Hatton has never had head movement anything like Tyson, in fact I would never say at any point in Hatton's career that he had even good head movement. He's never had world class power either. I agree he was better pre-tszyu, more controlled in the ring but calling him a mini tyson is absurd.
