Precisely. He'd set up alot of traps for the wild gamboa and land hard shots he doesn't see coming.. Gamboa is perfect for Linares, just perfect.

A Soto/Linares fight could be good down the line. Linares is real young still. He's the truth though!

That's something that impresses me about Jorge. He has big power and is real young but he's very patient and precise. Pretty advanced for this stage of his career as opposed to Gamboa who had a crazy amount of amateur fights, is a good bit older but seems like he just does not have any natural ring intelligence.

In WHAT way? Not in terms of opposition certainly.

I'm not even going to discuss the hypotheticals because we haven't seen anything close to the best of either fighter, so it's like looking at two steaks in the same oven and trying to figure out which one tastes better.

If you have a good pair of eyes and a working brain you can tell a lot simply by watching the fighter even if not against top competition. Some people are better at this than others!:nut

The fact that you couldn't go into any detail about his resume or anything like that shows that you're basically chiming what FINITO says and hoping you'll please him enough so he can throw you some sort of bone.

And I like Jorge Linares too. Point is all this hype and hyperbole is unfounded when the guy is enjoying the likes of Whyber Garcia type opponents. It's nice to look good against guys who are getting blown out by the entire assembly line of Campbells Tomato Soup but color me skeptical until he steps it up.

    See? We call that logic.

i was booing all the dissing of linares...for as many fanatics as he has, many people seem hard up to give the man his due...aside from injuries, he seems to me to be one of the best athletes and developing talents in the sport. based on his performances and consummate professionalism, i am surprised he has so many detractors. so, i guess i was agreeing with much of what you were saying. i ought to have been more specific.

Gamboa, John, Soto, all sounds mouth watering.
