Hayes is fast, but he should of took more time to develop as a fast heavy,,,wlad experience an quick left hook, an jab,,will be the only speed factors in this fight......

20 year old Tyson was 10/10

    Haye is only 7.5/10

It's just that most HW today are around 4-5/10

Haye has wide punches and is off balance. He is not as fast as Gomez or Hide, he is not fast at all.

A straight punch gets there before a wide punch, esp. when the fighter with the straight punch has the height and reach advantage.

That has nothing to do with speed though does it farmy?

Haye's hands are clearly faster than Wlad or Vitali

He's fast but it's laughable when people say that he'll be able to avoid Klitschko's jab with his speed. Monte Barrett was landing jabs against Haye when he chose to actually throw those jabs. Klitschko is faster than Barrett and has a better jab, so you draw your own conclusions on whether Haye can avoid Klitschko's jab.

He has great handspeed, but his foot and head movement isn't that special, especially not when you compare him to greats like Ali/Tyson. Hand-speed 9/10, overall speed 7/10.

Haye's hands are pretty speedy. His feet, however, arent. His footwork is horrid for an undisputed champion. He won his title from the flat-footed, come forward brawler Mormeck and defended it against a similar style Mac. He didnt need fleet feet. He'll show this weakness against Wlad.

Also, if the two were to throw their best, biggest right hands simultaneously, Wlad's would reach chin first. Haye's wide swings will hurt his speed advantage, Wlad punch's straight, and Haye's will have to circumvent Wlad's perfectly placed left hand, whereas Wlads right would sail into paydirt, as Haye's left would be at his waist.

I like Haye, alot. Very good fighter. But stylistically, he actually isn't a huge challenge to Wlad. His foot movement isn't gonna allow him to make angles, his rights are gonna struggle to land, and Wladimirs straight, stinging, and fairly quick punches are gonna crash home.

Wlad, kayo anytime he chooses to open fire after round 5.

Haye's punches would be like bullet time to a 20 year old Tyson. Haye is quick for the current batch of heavyweights though, maybe even the quickest.

    Speed kills.
