JMM, Izzy, Rafa, Hatton, Ivan, Darch

is this a good sign or a bad sign on today's elite boxers..

do they lack dominance or they showed that they can bounce back from a failure

its not a good nor bad sign.

even good fighters get KD, especially when they face top opposition.

I think what it shows is that a lot of figthers that are considered elite today are not defensive masters. All of those listed except for Calderon have differing degrees of defensive liability; Calderon, on the other hand, is both getting older and fighting out of his natural weight class at 108.

even defensive masters get KD'd sometimes when they step up their competition, although of course its more rare.

Getting KD is a normal part of the sport. It's really not that big of a deal if even the top guys are getting KD.

This is a sad era of boxing when guys are getting knocked down and sometimes even knocked out in the ring, I almost can't bear to watch the sport anymore.

I think the notion that someone has to be "perfect" is a false economy. I'm certainly not taking away anything from those that manage it, but I would prefer to think of the threa title in terms of the best fighting the best.

its a good sign that not all the fighter in our era cherry pick their opponents like mayweather.

My sarcasm meter ran pretty high on the post you quoted. Read it again & see if it registers.

good fighter + good fighter = good fight

    good fights often produce knockdowns.
