I dont think it would be a good idea to do 2 hours. having its twice a week would be better. Say a review of the weekend on Mondays, and then a Preview show on Thursdays.
Good show again. The Khan interview was very good...not just the usual stuff and Khan spoke realistically and genuinely about his title prospects, the lightweight division and the future.
Yes saying that he is not ready for JMM yet, and that Kotelnik is a weaker champion is real talk from Khan something some people think he does not do. He looked and talked down to earth to me. Plus Steve and co looked a bit star struck
If they are as skint as some would have you believe it may come down to the fact that a 2 hr show would be more cost effective.
Why? I'm not a xenophobe, I don't have to like somebody just because he lives in the same country as me. I think it's a disgrace that he's getting a title shot off the back of a highly iffy-should've been a no contest-win over a faded featherweight ex-great. I also resent any fighter who get's an accepts Warren's silver spoon up the arse treatment. I suppose that makes me a racist.
damn that post made you sound insecure. Chill my friend. Khan may be a dumb ass to the masses, but he isn't some university challenger, he is a fighter, a young one in fact. I think the fool brings immense excitement.
is anyone else getting fed up of seein george groves nearly every ****in week , why couldnt you get someone like john o'donnell , groves is only starting out yet he gets more air time then most of the established champions
Glad the show went down well today. I always get a buzz when I come on here and see people enjoyed what we do. I don't suppose we'd do it if you didn't like it - but even for us I thought today was just great to be in the studio. It's Andy Kerr here by the way to give that some context. I though Amir spoke very well and judging by the response everyone was as glad to see him on the show as we were to have him on. I could be wrong but I sense his honesty and openness won over a few people today. George Groves was great and to anyone who says he's on too much it's only 4 times in the year we've been doing the show! He is fighting this weekend on a live Setanta show. He's been sparring with Carl Froch who has a fairly significant fight this weekend, he's one this country's best prospects and he's also a jolly nice chap to boot!!! I think thats enough reason to have George on ...He's what we call a "friend of the show"! And isn't Spencer Oliver great. No more needed to be said. Love having him on the show. See you in Belfast Andy K
i agree with ya andy it was a great show and always is but is there a reason why none of hennessy fighters are ever on the show or hardly ever anyway
