Lindsay v Cruz would be a interesting step up for Lindsay, but first he has a tough job ahead of him on Saturday. This fight could turn out to be another Irish classic:deal
its actually not that hard to pronounce. It not his real name either - Big Ears knows a bit about Thai boxing scene - but from what I know they arnt much better than slaves to gyms. He fights out of the Krating Daen Gym - hence his game
Tune into otg tonight! all will be revealed! spike and jamie power are on its not looking good for antonio tarver tonight but we've still got a good show lined up!
Wow maybe thats an indication of things to come , but i thought he cleared up the weight issue by saying he wasn staying at middle
he is staying at middle but he also said that he can move down to 154 for a title fight if the opertunity presents itself! He told me yesterday that he made weight VERY comfortably remember he weighed 157 against Eastman
breaking news on an irish fighter and a possible title shot on OTG tonight http://www.blogtalkradio.com/OnTheGrind/2009/04/24/Ep-59-feat-Kassim-Ouma
Let me guess , lindsay? Booth said today that there hadnt even been contact between cruz and hayemaker
157 for Prince Arron, just 2 months before Eastman. Weighing in 157 is a good sign for Duddy, especially if he said he made it easily. The final decision of whether Duddy fights Pavlik or moves down to 154 probably won't be made till Duddy signs with a promoter(which will likely be Bob Arum), and this is a very good sign that Duddy can make 154 and be strong at it. I know Duddy himself wants Pavlik, but I think his trainer Pat Burns would be happier to go down to Light-Middlweight, the final decision will probably rest with Bob Arum and top rank and it'll most likely depend on where are Kelly Pavlik and Julio Cesar Chavez jnr(both Arum fighters) in their careers at that point. I know Manfredo has been calling John out recently, I think that'd be a good fight for John and would help legitimise him as a real contender. Manfredo may be 3 round cannon fodder for the likes of Joe Calzaghe and Sakio Bika up at Super-Middleweight, but he did also get wins over Scott Pemberton, Joey Spina, David Banks and Donny McCrary. Manfredo was unlucky not to win his second fight with Sergio Mora(who's now fighting Pavlik) and has just knocked out Walid Smichet impressivley in 7 rounds. So at Middleweight he's a genuine contender and a win over him would put Duddy in a great position whether he decides to fight at 154 or 160. Ya it's not that hard to pronounce when you break it down, Thai fighters will commonly be called after the gym they fight out of, or they'll have sponsored names eg 3k Battery, a name which you'll find quite a few Thai's have used the most famous being Fashan 3K battery who was knocked out by Manny Pacquiao in 4 rounds in an IBF Super-Bantanmweight eliminator. The way things are done are a bit different over there, the fighters see themselves as an employee and their manager is their employer. They just do what their manager says and they have almost zero imput whatsoever. They can be exploited somewhat unfortunately but that's just the nature of how the business works over there.
Quality pic my son took with his nikon & got the contrast perfect using photoshop. It looks freakin awesome. Just a few more days Paddy!:happy This content is protected
