Froch is right in part. He had some semi decent defences but most of them were far below opponents needed for a man some people regard as world class. He will probably be remembered as a great by the whole generation of 'football/boxing' fans. Most genuine boxing fans will probably agree that he was a good fighter who could have gone down as a great but for one reason or another never has the fights that WERE out there in order to cement his legacy. Defending probably the lesser of the 4 belts as many times as he did in the comfort of his home towns against the level of opponents he did will ensure he wont be remembered as the best. Freddie Welsh and Jimmy Wilde were better Welsh fighters than he is. The likes of Lewis and Turpin were better British fighters therefore he cannot possibly be regarded as a world great ?? Thats just my opinion

Is Carl Froch really any better than Richie Woodhall or Robin Reid?

    Personally, I'm not convinced.

I think Froch has a picture of Calzaghe on his bedroom ceiling and he stares into it for hours every night fantasying about JC.

Well at the time Calzaghe had his 3 years fighting lesser fighters, Froch was a lesser fighter and Calzaghe was bringing in the fans and cash as a 1 man show.

Considering the mentality of his fans that post here, he knows what he is doing in calling out Joe. He knows Joe will never fight him and he can say what he wants and his fans gobble it up.

This could be a reason for a Calzaghe comeback. Bring it on!

Froch speaks the truth bit allot of the blame has to be put down to Frank Warren who padded JC's record with a few bums but I am sure Calzaghe was prepared to fight anyone.

    :bart

Miranda is a ton of fun, and I happen to like him.:p

I mean, you know it's gonna be good, even if he lost to the 2 upper tier fighters from 160, he still KO's the absolute **** out of just about everybody not on that upper plateau.:yep

Go Jermain!!!!!! I like Froch, can't lie, he's grown on me and I can't help it. But I have been HUGE Taylor fan for years, and just CAN NOT cheer against Taylor. Good luck to Froch, but I'm feelin' pretty damned good about my man JT come Sat. night.

Just may both come away in a good light, and nobody seriously gets hurt.
    The best man will win.:hey
