MARCOS MAIDANA STOPS VICTOR ORTIZ IN 6 ROUND THRILLER!

    [YT]MoQHAy11_6I[/YT]

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

According to Rafael, stablemate Marcos Rene Maidana is replacing Universum fighter Andreas Kotelnik who elected to fight Amir Khan for more money rather than Victor Ortiz. Since the WBA title fight will go to the UK, GBP had to push the WBA a little bit, and voila, Ortiz-Maidana will go for the interim title. :-(

Ortiz is a huge talent very much hyped, but the Argentinean slugger is no pushover. His only loss is a very close defeat to the classy Kotelnik, which could've gone either way, although I though the Ukranian clearly won it. Maidana is very awkward, looks technically crude with balance issues, but very quick, throws punches from all angles, has a decent jab and has a great output. But his biggest weapon his power: in 26 fights he has 25 wins with 24KOs, and came close to stop Kotelnik. 'Chino' is a personal favorite of mine, what an exciting raw puncher!

I think it's an awesome fight, and with the shitty interim belt, the winner could push for the Kotelnik-Khan winner. Every possible match-up is awesome. Kotelnik-Maidana is a FOTY candidate with a rematch being just as good, and Ortiz-Khan is a potential superfight of two young, amateur rivals.

    How cool is this? :thumbsup

Oh boy, so Khan could potentially face Ortiz. Hmmmm.. I think Warren will try to avoid that at all costs but if it's forced to happen, lights out for Khan!

Hopefully, Ortiz and Khan win. Ortiz would take Khan's head off and establish himself as a star.

If Khan gets past Kotelnik (a 50/50 but stylewise the best chance he's got to pick up a belt at light welter) then he gets sparkoed by either of these guys! It could be over quicker than the Prescott fight.

Still wrong cuz Kotelnik did beat Maidana.
    Right it would be
    Ortiz>Kotelnik>Maidana>Khan
That thinking Ortiz gets passed this, his biggest test yet.

sounds good, Ortiz's chin will be tested in this 1......

and i think Khan should school Kotelnik as well

so Ortiz-Khan would be a great fight, for however long it lasts that is..

Maidana will decapitate the totally overrated Ortiz beating him by way of brutal knockout.
Up to now Ortiz has only faced soft American opposition.Easy to look good against this kind of limited foes.Maidana is of tougher stock.
He will be the living **** out of Ortiz who is out of his shoes against the classy Argie.
