Loew feels Duddy is underestimating Lyell... Post Duddy fight interview added.

Buddy McGirt has advised Lyell to "have some water baby"

 

He pretty much agreed with Jack Loew's earlier advice by reminding Lyell to 'keep shooting that jab, baby'

This is later followed by McGirt compassionately pulling Lyell out, and Loew admitting he had no clue what went wrong, 'it just didn't work tonight :huh'.

 

Lyell has already been informed by McGirt that they won't go through with the fight "if he keeps takin those kinda punches" in the gym.

 

Lyell is getting trained by McGirt??? Now I am 100% sure that he stands no chance in this fight.

 

To be honest with you I have not a clue.

I just saw Buddy McGirt's name and my mind went to Jab Poppin Water Drinkin Shades Wearin Punches Takin Funky Town.

 

All you guys that keep ripping on Leow need to make me two lists

1st; list all the trainers who exhort their fighters to double up on their jab.

2nd; list all the opponents who finished on their feet once Pavlik got the double jab/right hand working.

One of those lists is going to be a hell of a lot longer than the other. Can you guess which one?

I will be amused when duddy takes loews advice and doubles up the jab on lyell

 

Personally I have no horse in this race so I could care less who wins and loses here.

That said I figure this will be taped for MSG which ALWAYS airs Duddy fights when they can get their hands on them. Lyell is tough and gutsy certainly but if Duddy boxes (as he's begun to do recently), he probably shuts Lyell out.

If Duddy decides to be all go hung cocky fighter, he will put himself in a modicum of despair because Lyell doesn't tire and usually doesn't get hurt. Duddy would just be pounding away at a tree waiting for it to topple over.
