To me it sounds like Freddy has been talking a lot more since Pac annihilated Oscar. It seems like he is getting borderline cocky.
HBO is doing a 24/7 series with a quiet, well mannered boxer who does not speak good english and is apparantly maybe a little camera shy. They most likely told Freddie to put the jibber jabber in high gear in order to help the promotion of the fight. Freddie is a very down to earth guy, just look at him and his life.
It's very funny when I'm thinking about Floyd Sr. compared to Freddie. Sr. is the joke coach, not Freddie. Freddie's the best in the world without a doubt. Floyd Sr. isn't even number 2 let-alone the best as he says. I though Freddie was going to say he wanted to hit Floyd if he heard the joke coach Roach line one more time!
I don't get this idea that Freddie is cocky. He's just calling it like he see's it, he's confident. It's pretty hard to not like the guy.
Freddie is much better as a trainer and a great guy. I don't think Floyd Sr. is a bad guy though at heart, he just likes to talk. Nothing unusual in the build up to a fight.
well freddie himself aint number 1 either.... coach's like that, that get a fighter when they're already complete should get taken into consideration when speaking about the hall of fame.....i mean, if you really, really and i mean really look at manny pacquiao, he's pretty much the same fighter...sure a little difference here and there, but nothing major..... other trainers that have had their fighters since day one deserve more credit honestly.....
