    Let's not overhype Maidana.
Yes, he has KO power - but he's defensively inept.
He ate too many punches from the average-punching Kotelnik.
What's going to be the damage from the power-punching Ortiz?

    You do the math.

Ortiz and Khan have that amateur backstory, now Ortiz would crush him in one or two.

Maidana-Ortiz is going to be a very entertaining fight. The winner should go for Tim Bradley rather than Khan, although I think Kotelnik will spark Khan anyway

Ortiz has blown out everyone he's fought. He's been stepping up his competition as of late as well and has already beaten a former title holder as well, in two rounds. I wouldn't go on just that in predicting this fight.

Great slugfest the time it lasts...Maidana is a very live underdog in there...IMO if he lands 2 or 3 consecutive flush power punches on Ortiz it will be game over...

Maidana is not that live an underdog in this fight imo

actually change that if i remember well Maidana does have a mean right hand which could spark any southpaw.

Call me crazy but I think Khan would outbox Ortiz. We all know Khan's chinny but I think the guy was improperly trained before he got with Roach. His defense is much better now and if he can avoid a monster shot from Ortiz, he should win it by points. Maybe even stop him? We all know about Khan's chin, but what about Ortiz's? Has he been tested really?

Khan has already beat him once, albeit in the amateurs... but I haven't seen much boxing ability from Ortiz. I'm not buying the Ortiz hype..

Then again, I wouldn't be surpised to be proven completely wrong. If Ortiz catches him, that might be it..

Wow. Maidana and the winner of Khan/Kotelnik is already ripe for the picking. Khan will be murdered should he face Ortiz

    Ortiz is coming!

I think Ortiz has enough speed and boxing ability himself to offset Khan's speed and movement.

No way Khan avoids getting tagged at some stage by either Kotelnik, Maidana or Ortiz.

Holt, Bradley and Torres would all spark him too.

He will never be Elite due to that chin, it's as simple as that, and it's a massive shame because with his skills and fair firepower, he could be in some classic fights.

But sadly, even a fighter with half-decent pop will get at least one or two decent punches on Khan, and their top-level experience will allow them to finish him off.

Khan will only ever be able to pick winnable fights rather than genuine challenges. Could you imagine him in their with Urango, Torres, Hell, even Tim Bradley would stop Khan.

Unlike Haye (who by comparison has a good chin) Khan doesn't have the big punch to rescue him when he's truly down and out, something Nigel Benn and Julian Jackson had to stave off opponents who sensed the kill.

Someone like Torres, Ortiz or Maidana will ignore what Khan is doing, knowing they can take his punhes for a while, and just bulldoze into him, knowing a wild flurry will stop him.

The only puncher I would give Khan half a chance with, is one that is A) completely inept technically or B) weak-chinned himself.

True this. Whilst Kotelnik is a good fighter who I would give a decent shot to beat any of the above, style wise he is the one top junior welter Khan has a decent shot at beating due to his lack of KO power. Warren's chosen this one well.
