Yes they do but I noticed this everywhere about argentinian fighters and generally about africans.
Because africans are generally born and raized in tough places and have a sort of ''tough guy'' look in every sport.
Look at the Ghana national football team,Appiah,Essien,Gyan,all those guys are monsters.

 

Have your heard Richie Woodhall commentate? He is by far the best of the bunch IMO but his scoring can be a bit iffy at times.

 

For the same reason that American boxers are always assumed to have godly skills and continental boxers are assumed to be technically sound: it makes them a lot more marketable. This is true whether they're Michael Simuwelu ("being African, he'll be tough... He'll be a warrior, like they all are... It's over!") or Joshua "Oh ****, It's Joshua Clottey" Clottey.

ALL brit commentators are like Buncey would say ''garbage,complete garbage''.
And I'm not even gonna go in the ''it was a close round so I''ll score it for Woods cuz he's british'' thing

 

That's what we do!! Any close round in a world title fight goes to the British fighter!

 

And don't think I hate the british and all,I quite like them,Benn,Eubank,Lewis,even Calzaghe.Hatton,Haye etc,I'm really puling for Haye to KO Dr. Bitchko,I even like Froch in some sort of way,I like the national football team,Becks,Gerrard,Rooney,etc,I'm a big Newcastle fan and I respect you as a poster but those ****ing british commentators should have been hanged along with Saddam Hussein.Only thing I enjoy is Bunce's boxing hour.

 

Oh and I was a second close to putting a grenda in my PC in Barry McGuigan's ****ing face when he was comparing Froch vs Pascal to all time great fights from the past.****ing *****.

 

These Brit commentators are an acquired taste. I guess most non-Brits won't like them.

The best commentary is HBO when Kellerman is not part of the team.

 

Yes,HBO formed of Steward-Lampley-Merchant is ok.I actually like Kellerman,he seems ok,he says his opinion and he seems a fan.I don't like him comparing the creampuffs now with old time greats(ex:Malignaggi vs Cherry,he was comparing Paulie to Billy Conn all night,I wanted to send him to his ancestors).
I liked Big George instead of Manny(who is weak IMO) but what can you do.Roy was ok too.Lennox as much as I like him as a figther is ''definetely'' not good.

 

Lennox isn't a good commentator. I agree that the HBO team of Lampley, Merchant and Foreman was the best.
