I met with Froch when he was out of contract with his promoter — and he made it clear that he didn’t fancy a fight against Joe - Frank Warren

There was a feller here on ESB who was saying that Froch was offered a fight against Calzaghe by Warren in the past but he refused it. Guess he was right. So what is all this talk from The Cobra then, fellers?

So why would Warren lie? What would he gain? He ain't Calzaghe's best friend these days anyways fellers. He could have said Calzaghe didn't want to fight Froch if he wanted to lie. He'd be doing The Cobra a favour whilst making Calzaghe look bad which could come in handy if he wanted to sign Froch later on. Froch's current promoter simply ain't delivering.

Fellers it doesn't make sense for Warren to lie this way.

Warren is full of ****, Calzaghe didn't duck Froch but if the fight was on the table Froch would have jumped at it.

My mind tells me Froch was offered a fight against Calzaghe and he didn't want it.

I have a tape of Carl Froch calling Joe Calzaghe on the phone during an interview and Joe telling Carl it was all about the money. No promoters boxer to boxer.

    Warren lies.

When? Froch only tried to fight Calzaghe in 2007 and later. He was not out of contract with his promoter then was he? I am thinking Warren made the offer before 2007 when he wanted to sign Froch.

That was after Calzaghe fought Hopkins, right?

Warren is talking way earlier, before Kessler, before Bika......

Of course he doesn't. Deep down its obvious and clear, to a student of the game like Froch - a smart man. Calzaghe would have decimated, humiliated and embarrassed him. He likes to talk a lot and this is a good way to get his nose out there.

And what a nose he has.:D
It's interesting to see a student of the game like Froch who is also a good commentator fight like a caveman sometimes. It's like killing ants with a magnifyer.

Yeah it was around the time he fought Rybacki/Reid so that sounds right.
