    Larry Merchant's atrocious performance on the Williams/Wright card makes me appreciate the insightful and witty comments of Max even more.

    While Merchant makes redundant errors throughout the telecast as well as his unhealthy obsession with Arreola, Max tells it like it is.

    Here's to one great night of boxing tomorrow night.

    Bleh... Roy Jone is the best commentator that has ever worked for HBO in my opinion. Why don't they try to get him more often?

    Sorry Zakman, but Ross Greenberg and the other executives at HBO are very high on Max and his ability to mesmerize an audience through his captivating comments and enthusiasm for the sweet science.

    Max is here to stay.
