Montiel is still the more naturally bigger fighter.

If montiel presses the attack he will eat Vic alive, if he just stays there trying to time Vic by outboxing him he could meet the same fate as Mijares.

Watch the Montiel vs Gorez fight and you might change your mind. Montiel was schooled by a technical boxing in gorez. Fortunately for him gorez doesn't have power and enough stamina to finish the fight. Before the 11 KD montiel won only 2 rounds.

montiel's punches look raw in the ganzales fight...still he is a skilled fighter but darchinyan wins

    Really?

I dont think it was a huge robbery like some say here it is, it was a close competitive fight but a clear win for Vic IMO. I can see how someone scored it a draw if they were reaching for Gorres but cant see the fight being scored in his favor.

well thats a different fighter and who knows he could of had an off night . for instance Vic got Ko'd by Donaire and was schooled in the proccess but he was not schooled by Mijares.

Montiel may have something gores may be able to deal with that Vic and Nonito can't

I agree. That goes to show that Z is underrated if he can compete with the likes of Vic and Montiel. Maybe he would benefit from a better trainer if they say he faded in the last rounds. His conditioning needs to improve

thats usally the case with fights. your expecting something and the guy could be winnig but becuase he's not peforming like you expected you start to mark off rounds thats why it's alwasy important to watch a fight at least twice if not more .
