Corey Spinks deserves some respect

He's a 5-time world champion, former 2-time super welterweight champion, and former undisputed welterweight champion. I think he's very underrated and doesn't get much respect because of his fighting style, but he is a true example of what a fighter is. Yeah he might lack power, but all the other tools are always seen when he fights.

I had no doubt in my mind that he was going to be Latimore, but at the same time, there is this stigma on boxers. Its fun to watch a knockout, but I enjoy seeing two fighters get it on with strategy and technical skill.

I think that Spinks was robbed against Phillips ... and as much as I like Jermain Taylor, I thought Spinks beat him too !!

He should be a 3-division champion and one of few fighters to win a welterweight and middleweight championship.

Thats 2 L's off of his resume that shouldn't be on there in the first place.

What do you guys think?

 

If he was anyone else out there ... he would be considered a p4p elitist.

 

He's just as accomplished as all the top 10 on the p4p list !!

 

Judah isn't as accomplished as spinks ... since the spinks win, he has lost 3 of his last 5 fights (stopped twice) and has been taken deep against some club fighters ... while Spinks has won a version of the 154 lb title twice and came close to winning a middleweight championship.

 

Forrest is washed up ...

None of those guys have the credentials of Spinks ... even in defeat ... he still attempted and did good in a challenge for the middleweight title and if you look at the fight, you would see that the fight was close and that Spinks had the slight edge coming down the stretch_

You would think that Taylor would knock him out considering how much bigger he was than Spinks ... and given the fact that he was knocked out by Judah, but I think that Spinks has a better beard than most give him credit for.

And it was obvious that Latimore was a power puncher _
