I remember the voice-vr the build up to calzaghe vs lacy said "a confident Calzaghe won the battle of the staredowns!!!" cus lacy looked away like a fraction of a second sooner...

    the staredowns rarely mean anything

Mike Tyson in his latest DVD "I would stare at them and stare at them, never take my eyes off them, not for one second and if they looked away, even for that one second, I knew I had them and had got to them. I had already won the fight at that point"

    Or words to that effect.

I really dont get it, some fighters actually refuse to look their opponents in the eyes, but its not that their scared, its that they hate the macho bull****. If your going twelve rounds with a guy then keeping eye contact with him is no problem.

Foremad said all of his opponents looked away except Frazier"But im glad he didnt cus if he looked down he would have seen my legs shaking like a leaf" or words to that effect...foremand didnt look away either and we know what happened there

staredowns mean nothing if your not a bully.
