    well i guess loew is right in saying duddy is underestimating lyell...because lyell won...

    I said all along that I have never seen Lyell fight, so I can't say I predicted this, but I suspect some of you that have never seen him fight went right ahead and did. Since he is the local, I'm having some fun here.

    ok, i'll give Loew some props for this 1, but i aint see the fight......so i can't reallly say how he did in the corner, but he got the W against a guy i thought was improving, so i'll eat my words on this 1, props to the Lyell guy (whoever he is) and Loew

    Obviously I take this from a local perspective. Finding out Duddy showed up 5 pounds over weight? I guess Jack was dead on with his assessment of 'underestimating'. Lyell has just finished college so does this mean he just had more training time for this fight and we are seeing a better Billy Lyell? (I don't know if he has a job on top of his training and class work) Jack Loew just moved to a bigger facility, does this win make him more viable as a trainer? Interesting stuff from a local perspective. Does Billy get 'ranked' at 154? Good things for Youngstown boxing. :happy

    Well, his friends say he lacks a punch. See earlier in the thread. That said, now that he is graduated from college maybe he can start tagging along with Kelly when he goes to Ironman Gym. :yep
