Froch victory over Taylor a formality

Unless he has been partying every night since he left the UK for this fight, I can see no result other than an easy victory for Froch, who I think will pick off Taylor as he comes in, leaving his face looking like hamburger meat before bringing down the boom somewhere around the eighth.

Taylor is 2 or 3 fights past his sell by date, whilst Froch (whose style I have to say is not always the most entertaining to watch) is still on the ascendancy.

Losing a fight like this would be a calamity for either man - spelling the end to big paydays for either - but Froch, with a 'marquee' name on his CV can start to call the shots in the USA.

He might even get the ITV's / BBC's & Sky's heads of sport belatedlly wanting a piece of the Froch Gravy Train..........!

(Shame on these broadcasters for not showing the fight live - especially after the Pascal war - what more does he have to do to get media attention?!)

If Taylor shows up fifty percent then its a bad night for Froch. If Taylor shows up zero perent as he has done before, then Froch easily...it all depends

Even if Froch wins, he'll have to take Taylor into deep waters to do so.

Just watched acouple of froch's fights and I believe he is fast enough to hang with taylor. And I love many aspect of his style against taylor. For instance the way he sits out of range and waits for you to make the first move. This is what Hopkins did to Taylor. Back then he was sucseptable to this type of thing because he is an engery fighter that has little patients in the ring. His last fight against lacy was more measured though but more in the hit and hold kinda way then the "I'm gonna wait for the right moment to throw my shots" kinda way. So I believe that he will still be vulnerable to this type of approach.

  7. I don't think it would be a diaster if Froch lost this.... I would still think he could win another belt off someone like Bute

i guess all that training he's been doing was completely useless

  9. Taylors gonna come out guns blazin... looking for the KO, and Froch will be calm and collected like he usually is and ride it out by dodging and riding the punches

After 4-5 rounds Taylor is gonna be out of gas..... and Froch will start picking him off... and as the stronger man he will also outmuscle Taylor when he starts clinching like Taylor usually does. don't get me wrong Taylor will land ... but it won't be enough to worry Froch

All leading to a KO win for Froch in the later rounds

If he loses this he won't get a shot against Bute.

Bernard Hopkins, Winky Wright and Kelly Pavlik surely had an "easy" time with Jermain.

Nah not like a traditional counter puncher more like a counter reactor. Sometimes he steps back and fires a shot. Sometimes he sits at the end of punches and takes a bunch of shots and then springs forward and lands some hard ones. And Sometimes yeah he punches with the other guy and tires to counter while the other guy is punching.

I should also add to my pervious post by saying before people get carried away thinking that because I said that he does some things that bhop did that were affective it doesn't mean that I'm predicting a Froch win just pointing out something that I believe will make this an interesting fight.

Let's put it this way: A good performance from Taylor, and a Froch win are mutually exclusive ideas. If Froch winds up in the ring with a version of JT that is somewhere near the same level as he was in the Pavlik rematch, the cobra loses 120-108, 118-110, 118-110. Note that I have 2 judges giving carl 2 rounds. That's only because there are always at least 2 of the 3 blind mice present.

I think it'll be the opposite. Froch will come out looking for the KO early and knock Taylor down in the first round, Taylor will then proceed to out box him the rest of the fight.
