Ive just watched the youtube clips and what I see is enough to know that lyell defo deserved the decision.Duddy was walking into punches and no defence, no head movement and worst of all no punch output!!!I dont know, maybe john has been in one to many wars to change at this stage of his career....the guy just looked awful in there last night...maybe a return to ireland and take some fights on the domestic scene, link up with peters and earn a few quid....he didnt look anything like the man who outboxed howard eastman last night.

It goes some way to lessen the disappointment earlier today with Duddy.

Well done martin , but i thought it was a bit premature appleby stood up to massive punches , i suppose if the fight had went on martin would have got the ko anyway . What an atmosphere it was . Im sure the lads who were there will fill us in

    Both :good

I love the fact that Irish boxing is going strong, too bad about Duddy though. I wasn't too keen on him, he's a good lad no doubt, but not champion material imho.

I agree...Duddy did not look like his normal self in the youtube clips. He seems slower, weaker than usual.

    why..oh why...wasnt i there tonight....well done lindsay..

as for duddy...now that him and lee have both had recent losses...what's the chances of brian peters doing something with them both over here...fighting each other at the o2 ?
