At his BEST, could any heavyweight of the last 20 years have beaten Mike Tyson?

I think prime Holyfield, Lewis, and maybe even Bowe would beat Tyson. Some of you forget what happened when fighters were not intimidated by Tyson and punched back.

Tyson had trouble with skilled big men that were not as good as Bowe and Lewis.

Except that wasn't a prime Tyson. It probably wasn't a prime Holyfield either but Holyfield was closer to prime than Tyson was in my opinion.

In my opinion prime Tyson is at least 55/45 with all heavies over the last 20 years.

I agree with that, but as I said before, did the guy actually have a prime :huh Which version of Bowe would you say was the best that ever stepped into a ring?

True. Now that I think about it I don't think Tyson ever beats a prime Holyfield or Lewis.

Lewis certainly, Holyfield probably. The comebacking Big George I'd say was a toss-up fight.

It all depends on when you think Holyfields prime was. I suspect Prime Tyson would beat the Holyfield that fought Douglas, Foreman and Cooper but lost to Bowe. but it would be a nip and tuck fight. Tyson in 1996 and 1997 wasn't prime by any stretch of the imagination, Holyfield still was pretty close because he always trained like the champion he was. Tyson lost all semblance of discipline the moment Kevin Rooney left the camp, it was all his own fault and that's why he was an also-ran for the rest of his career.

That still doesn't change my thinking on how good he was when he was training hard and living clean though - back then he was the most devastating fighter I've ever seen.

VitKlit has the height and Chin to hang in there I would be more worried about cuts than anything.

it would be an interesting fight.

If I were a VITLAY fan I'd be worried about his tendency to lean back away from punches in this one....also he has zero in-fighting skills, VITLAY, like WALDO is very good fighting at distance but when a guy is good at closing that distance and has heavy artillery in both hands it's bad news. Moreso for WALDO but I still think VITLAY would get beaten down, he'd last a while but wouldn't be effective at all against prime Mike.

Of course, I still think Holyfield, and Lewis beat him. Bowe, Vitali Klitschko (because of his sheer size and granite chin) would have posed problems, and also Ike Ibeabuchi whose chin was equally granite.
