Taylor has the worst stamina of a world class fighter I've ever seen

He has stamina like De La Hoya. Damn good in the 1st half of a fight, and then sometime during the second half he begins to get winded.

i think that taylor throws his punches way too hard. seems to put 100% into them all the time.

Don't forgot Mike Malo's conditioning is horrible as well, lol. When he fought Golota it was questionable whether he would last 4 rounds, much less 12.

Then he should go to his opponents body so they can slow down too. No stamina, no bodywork, :patsch It may be time to retire

I agree, I have no idea why he stopped throwing punches after the 7th other than stamina issues. His inactivity in the second half of the fight let Froch get back into the fight. In a way it was a replay of Pavlik/Taylor 1 with exception with Taylor being able to control Froch when he had stamina. The second half he became a punching bag.

That could be the reason. Taylor has gotten a lot of close and controversial decisions simply because he impresses the judges with his flashy and eye catching punches. Reason his punches are so eye catching are because his hands are quick and he throws them with everything he's got. Probably not the best strategy in the ring when you get winded on a consistant basis in tough fights.

There are boxers that work jobs that have more stamina than JT. JT is a full time athlete. That's his job. I just don't get it

There are lots of top, world class fighters with bad stamina. It doesn't seem to be a thing where they train any lesser than other fighters. Looks to be something physical that prohibits these men from finishing the fight strong. Maybe their lungs just aren't very strong so they lack the ability to take in the needed oxygen when they over-exert themselves... Maybe? But I don't know, it's just a thought.
