    put juanma with a guy equal his size who actually hits back and he won't throw as much punch as that.

    The fact that the Boriquas are getting upset that Penalosa is getting more discussion than JuanMa, just shows who stole the show.

    ...Gerry had no business slugging with Juan, taking over 400 power shots and not looking like getting stopped. It's very hard, even if you are Rican, to not feel huge admiration for a fighter with the qualities that Gerry has.

    Absolutely hermano...Penalosa was as impressive as JuanMa was tonight...this kind of of fight will only help JuanMa..afterall he can't KO everyone in the first round...or can he??..as long as they're not named penalosa...:yep

    :huh I previously stated that Penalosa is the very reason why I watch boxing....am I not allowed to celebrate the victory for JuanMa as well???

    First off mad props to Juanma. He's one of boxings biggest rising stars and I expect great things from him in the future.

    As for Gerry, that whole performance was just about heart. He fought a smart and courageous fight. Juanma was just the better man today. He may have lost but I think he won the respect of many a boxing fan tonight.

    Bob Papa had to keep calling him "Pennylooso" to make up for screwing up Juan Ma's name each and every time. Couldn't believe nobody in that crowd noticed Bob calling him "Marquez."

    I really liked Lopez sticking a Puerto Rican flag in Penalosa's glove to win some crowd loving with. Quick thinking there.

    Gerry doesn't lay down for anybody and Lopez needed the intense kind of test that Penalosa brings each and every time - I was really excited the past three weeks waiting for this one!

    Because his man lost...that is all...I love how JuanMa is now an overrated bum to these guys now after that performance...yes Penalosa was tough and we give him credit for standing up to one of the most deadly puncher's in the game..but he can't give him credit...it's funny to me really...**** it...
