Juan was unable to put away Gerry, but that's nothing to be ashamed of. Nobody makes easy work of Gerry because his heart is just to damn big.

    Ignorance is bliss.

    Nobody got stopped tonight.

JuanMa just got a victory that most people could have precicted, and most indeed did.

Nobody could have predicted the amount of punishment Gerry would walk through, and never wilted or thought about wilting.

Like someone already appropriately said, Lopez will have many nights where he will be appraised by all of the General Forum. It's the end of Gerry's career, or close to being so, it's the right moment to pay tribute to the fighter who has already been a world champion and done it all.

these days it must be good to be a pinoy fan with Donaire and Pac on fire and Viloria on the right track and Penalosa bowing out like a true champion.

Give the man a break. His career is probably finished and he earned it tonight. Juanma will have so many more nights where he is the man whereas this might be Gerry`s last.

dont be so petty dude. juanma did what he was expected to do against an old smaller fighter, congrats to him. gerry did what he wasnt expected to do against a stronger, faster, bigger, younger, more skilled fighter, much love to him.

Not really, we are still developing some more young fighters above 122. Donaire is a flyweight. No one cares about that div. I like feather, light and welter we will get them.

I'll have to go through old notes to be sure, but I believe that's the best anybody's ever looked against Penalosa; definitely the one who's done the most damage to him! I've never been on-my-seat-worried-Gerry-was-going-to-go-down before tonight.
