As the last couple of rounds started I turned on the Rocky sound track. I knew who would likely win the fight, but Gerry had me inspired. Great way to go out. Juan Ma is a monster who destroys more talented, but lesser men.

.... Gerry took all the punches that Juanma could give. But he refused to go down. He was Fearless Warrior.

Congrats to Juanma. Give him a year and he'll in in the top 10 P4P.

Penalosa is a true hero. He would have gone the full 12 rounds if not for a damned roach.

Oh, come on. This ain't the end of Penalosa's career. It might be the first time some people are aware of his career, but the old man's still got a lot of gas left in that seemingly bottomless tank. He was Pac's childhood hero for a whole lot of good reasons.

No, he said that he really is nearing the end of his career. He was aiming to win tonight, and probably 1 more big money fight after this.

The guy came out of retirement back in '04. He's a natural 115 pounder, and he's undersized as a 118 pounder. Now, he's willing to fight the bigger guys, 122 pounders even if it's very risky, because that's where the money is.

2009 would be his final year of boxing, I believe.

The only thing that is certain is birth and death. Penalosa should have been given the extra rounds. I believe that death on the battlefield or in the ring is the way to die. To Hell with dying in a hospital, it makes the rich *******s richer and the poor/middleclass poorer. Rich Republicans need not worry about dying, but the rest of us need to move to Europe. Universal healthcare is the answer for all Americans, except for a very few rich Republican *******s! They make lots of money off our deaths. Go to Hell Bush and pals.

too tough for his own good. He has taken shots against De Leon, Gonzales and Juan Ma. Give Juan cred err Roach cred for stopping it. I think he woulda continued but I feel sorry for him gettin hit repeatedly.Elmer fud is done.

I couldn't imagine him taking another 2000 shots after the 8th round. Plus, he's in Puerto Rico. You're not going to have the best doctors around to stop subdural hematomas...
