I'd love this fight to happen, because it would expose Froch for the hypejob and the dickhead he really is. He got lucky tonight; everyone knows it. Calslappy would make him look even worse than Lacey.

calzaghe retiring is the best thing that could happen to froch but he still bangs on about wanting to fight him. if it does come off calzaghe wins via a Lacyesque totally embarassing schooling with froch eating a 1000+ slaps.

Joe ain't the most accurate guy around, but you'd have to practice missing in order to connect less than 60% against Froch:yep

Froch need to give it up. Calzaghe is 37 and retired. If Froch is supposed to be the new generation why doesn't he go after current fighters?

froch picked this fight because he knew against taylor your fighting a boxer who is half motivated and literally no stamina. the guy made the same damn mistake as he did with the first pavlik fight. even still,

froch should not be calling out calzaghe after he accusses calzaghe of fighting pensioners what does he do himself! froch knows deep down in his heart the chances of him fighting calzaghe are very slim so its safe to keep calling him out...the guys a fool.

he got dropped by taylor after all the times he boasting about his iron chin lol

i would love to see froch fight pavlik, hopkins, or kessler. potentially they all hit harder than taylor, more calculated fighters and better stamina and chins. now that would be good fight.

joe has a decent chin, speed, great work rate and importantly stamina.

froch would chase him round the ring eating slaps for 12 rounds before losing a ud.

Would he shut up about joe for maybe 30 seconds if this were to happen tho? That is the real question

I don't think there's any real question of Calzaghe coming out of retirement to face Froch. Calzaghe seemed fairly certain that he was done with boxing, and Froch isn't a big enough draw for a 'megafight' to make it worth Calzaghe's time, truth be told. Probably the only people Calzaghe would consider coming out of retirement to fight would be such names as perhaps Trinidad for the name-recognition and similar age handicap, or maybe Dawson if he can elevate his stock by re-destroying Tarver, convincingly beating Johnson and perhaps also B-Hop. That might make it worth a potential comeback for Calzaghe. That having been said, were Calzaghe to fight Froch, it would be an embarrassment for the "Cobra". Froch is too slow, keeps his hands too low, has not the reaction time and eats way too many shots to be competitive with Calzaghe, who would clown him and pot-shot him every minute of every round for a landslide victory to the tune of 118-120 Calzaghe to 110-108 Froch. Having a good chin and some pop just isn't enough to beat Calzaghe's monster workrate, unorthodox style and inhuman stamina.
