It's always the same with Taylor, a great talented athlete who puts a lot of rounds in the bag with his superior skills and then somethings happens, either he gets caught with something big and can't recover or he badly fades in the championship rounds leading to disputable dcisions. In my opinion, he never embarassed himself in none of his 3 defeats.
He earned a lot of respect from me last night. I lost a lot for him in the build up when he wrote of Froch and appeared very arrogant. Froch was confident he could do the job but he always maintained Taylor was a dangerous opponent. Taylor wrote him off completely and paid the price. But he showed heart and was gracious in defeat which I commend him for.
I had a lot of respect for Taylor before last night and still have it now. It was much more a case of Froch winning respect than Taylor loosing any.
have complete respect for him as a fighter and more importantly as a person, he was class in the post fight interview. humble nice guy who i think showed a lot of heart to get up from kd. he is not finished as some on this bored are saying.
he won my respect. he got stopped by a decent fighter in the last round of a fight he effectively "won". no shame in that whatsoever. he must be devastated...just hope he can come back from it like a champion. As the other posts say, he took it on the chin as well (pun very much intended) which is refreshing in boxing nowdays. rematch please!
It's a shame he lost, he comes across as a genuine nice guy. Has he got it in him to work on his stamina? If it wasn't for his stamina he would have been champ.
Have a lot of respect for Taylor. He tried his best to fight back in the 12th. You could see the look of pain just before the ref stopped it. That was a BRUTAL stoppage!:admin
Nah he didnt embarass himself. He has great talent. But he doesnt have stamina or a chin. But he does go out and give it his all.
