I've never subscribed to the notion that a number of defeats means a fighter is finished necessarily. He was just 14 seconds away from outpointing Froch, no signs of being shot or extra fragile now. He can still beat most 168lbers, including Froch in a rematch if he sorts his stamina out. He should have a couple of tune up fights and he can get back in the mix for a title shot again in a year.

Depends if he has the heart to build himself up again towards a title shot.

    Froch is hardly a journeyman.

He could well go on to prove one of the best ever at the weight.

    25W 20KO 0 LOSSES.

froch would win a rematch quicker..much quicker. Jermain had all the advantages last night and still got his boots smoked.

Depends if he's honest with himself and recognises where it went so wrong to have **** stamina. If he does not have the heart and will to rectify it, he may as well retire because he ain't beating any good SMW's fighting for 6 rounds.

When he returns he should have a confidence builder against Manfredo or Tspyko.

    NO.

He lost, so what. He lost against an undefeated champion in a war. No shame at all. In his last fight he dominated Jeff Lacy, a former 168 champ.

Taylor needs to keep being Taylor and that means getting involved in big fight after big fight, some he'll lose and some he'll win.

    Agree

He is still the fighter he was

The fighter that beat Hopkins twice, and has faced an unreal level of comp over the last few years

He just isn't quite the superstar people anticipated

But he gives all the very top guys a run for their money

i cannot understand all the comments in the press etc he said he denied he has stamina problems ozell must know this and if they prepared best they can, it shows taylor has hit his level of stamina levels he just doesn't have the natural stamina to compete 12 rounds with the champions.

Taylor after the fight said he trained great, and whatever he's lacking, it just isn't there (his words)

He was pure class after the fight I have to say

All he can do is pace himself better... his stamina problems were there vs Hopkins and fully exposed by Pavlik.

Im not sure if it can be improved.. DLH was much the same throughout his career.

you sure Oscar De La Hoya before he fought Tito he would have probably suited 15 rounders better than 12s

A rematch with Froch will ensue, which he may well win, so 'no'.

well u know i had taylor wining going into the 12. I felt sorry for taylor i am not sure what it is he either gets tired or his training for all his life has never been to improve his fitness levels. He was a good amatuer for the reason he never needed to go 12 rounds.

taylor is i think a great 6-7 round fighter.

I don't subscribe to all this stamina issue bull****. Taylor looked fine and was throwing big right hands at the beginning of the 12th round...then Froch caught him straight down the pipe with a beauty and his legs went, thats when he got on his bike. He was hurt rather than overly tired
