Watching the fight delayed at 8.30pm (GMT) in the UK this evening -
if it wasn't bad enough that they didn't deem this fight worthy of being shown live (how many REAL World boxing champs do we have, for God's sake?!), they insulted the viewer by showing a full 25 MINUTES OF ADVERTS, at the worst possible junctures i.e. immediately after the fighters' introductions had been made, and, incredibly, about 7 MINUTES WORTH between the 11th and 12th rounds!!
I'd rather they spread it out say, 2 minutes between each round, at least you'd know it was coming and you could go and fetch a beer during that time.
But watching Eric Cantona advertise a Citroen for the best part of 90 seconds, 3 times during the fight, was beyond a bloody joke.
The only saving grace was there was no garbage being spouted by the oafish Steve Bunce during the broadcast - I'd've had to switch off before the end!!

That's because brit commentators are the worst of the bunch.
    They absolutely suck chemical dick.
''His legs have gone,Jim,his legs have gone! He's out of it,I'm telling you,he's out of it!''.Get a ****ing grip Duke will ya?

I agree. The breaks were a farce, they were too long and ruined the flow of the rounds.
    I do like Bunce though.

Great win for Froch and I'm happy for him :smoke

Adverts between the breaks...so ****ing what.

They showed the corner work in between rounds too, some people are never satisfied.

I know buy a hard disk recorder or get sky + then forward on those terrible add breaks

Thanks for picking it up ITV.

I remember when ITV had gary newbon as ringside commentator.
    Came out with lines like..
"you've just seen your dreams fly out of the window tonight ,how do you feel?" to a just beaten fighter.

or when he was on the scene of the JFK assassination.
"well jackie you've just seen your husbands brains fly out of the window ,how do you feel?"

Well done ITV, I avoided the result and really enjoyed the fight. Adverts are a pain but I would rather this than keep paying over the odds for PPV at 4 in the morning.

I don't agree with the OP. What did you expect? it's a purely commercial station. They used to cut to adverts during F1, at the key points in the race. At least they showed the corner chat and again, at least we got to watch the fight!! (legally).

Yep, I was furious at that too, full length commercial breaks between rounds at one point and having to listen to McGuigan rattle on. **** off ITV.

For every 6 minutes of boxing we got 3 minutes of adverts. The same adverts over and over again.

The show itself and the commentary was good I thought, just the format reminded me why I try not to watch ITV, absolutely ****.
