I made a thread about his dirty tactics last night. He was hitting on the break, hitting round the back of the head and used his head almost as much as he used his fists. All being said though he probably deserved the win. He'll never be any better than a journeyman to be honest.
Maguire looked **** and acted like a ****. Wasn't listening to his trainer then stormed off like a baby after the fight. That trainer should give the ***** a slap.
McGuire looked a bit tubby. I thought Ancliff got a draw - it's a strange thing to say but it looked a 'clear' draw. I realise that sounds a bit daft but I hope people get what I'm saying.
maguire is known in amateur circles as a undisciplined fighter i know a lad that fought him and he said the lads life is a mess he smokes and drinks and doesn't train like a boxer should but the talent he had in amateurs saw him through. That was a few years back and a rumour but seems like he can't hack the boxers life he prefer to be eating and going out rather then grafting. i didn't like the attitude last night and buncey pointed to fact that tibbs is now trainer not booth and that he weighed in i think two divisions above his first fight weight and gone from 6 to 4 rounds. alot of romany gypsy fighters get the big build up and alot of the boys never crack it they don't have the mental strength or smarts for top level boxing they just think it's a tear up and i have feeling maguire is like this.
Ancliffe was a really good amateur, internationalist and Scottish senior champ. He's also alot of better than his record suggests and could be an undefeated "prospect" right now if he was looked after like some of the others.
