As early as now, I'll say Hatton is shot. He is past his prime like Morales. He's not the Hatton we used to love. He was destroyed by Floyd. He's a fraud champ. Floyd Sr. is no good trainer and lousy poet.

Pacquiao's Achilles heel has always been the bum rush. If he can overcome the best bum rusher in the business; a naturally bigger man, and all around murderous threat in Ricky Hatton, it's just ****ing massive for Manny Pacquiao. There could never be evidence more clear and more emphatic of Manny's transition from one handed, one dimensional, sprint piston puncher, to dynamic, multi dimensional, master technician, and all around boxing dynamo.

To beat Hatton you have no choice but to do it in style. Hatton makes you fight to say the least, and if Pacquiao pulls it off he's putting himself right near the summit of Mount Olympus. Comon man Pac's achilles heel is the counter right hand. Thats what Morales used and thats what MArquez used. Fighters who can control the distance, avoid Pac's combinations, and come back with a strong right hand.

Fights who come forward are a dream for Pac because he is so shifty. Hatton won't know where the left hand is coming from.

Joe Calzaghe as an agressive southpaw who opens himself up when he punches (kind of like Pac) is indeed a sucker for the counter right hand as showed by Hopkins and Jones. Hatton is not a sucker for the counter right hand. Neither is Cotto. When have I said that?

If Hatton leans too much into his jab then yea, he can get caught with a counter hook (a punch Pac is very good at) but Hatton throws a nice, stiff that will be hard to hook over. I can see Pac ducking under it and maybe landing to the body or spinning out.
