its not even about that... he just fights so afraid... its almost like he fights to not get knocked out... i just think after this fight his confidence will be lost and never be found again... its my personal opinion tho... he will be able to fight guys who dont have power.. but against guys with power he will always be afraid... i think he was so confident of himself then when he got ko'd against pavlik his confidence took a big shot and in this fight it took the ultimate shot...

    ba dum.... tssssssssssssss

:good i agree. i understand many people feel he is done and thats cool. but he just has a focus problem. he has all the talent in the world. he is a phenomenal athlete. it just seems as tho his fight prep is not there. i mean, did this fight in any way remind anyone of cotto-margo??? i mean the way taylor was throwing and dancing away in the later rounds when he was completely gassed instead of throwing and at least wrapping up was unreal (like cotto did). the ref barely had to seperate them in the later rounds and thats crazy considering how gassed taylor was. now if he just wrapped up he would have won...so does the fact that he didnt wrap up mean his career is over and he just doesnt have it anymore?? i respecfully say absolutely not and it wouldnt surprise me if he won a rematch. having said that all respect to froch...what a chin and what heart

**** his focus... he fights afraid... to be a good fighter you need supreme confidence...jermain taylors confidence is horrendous... thats his problem... since his confidence is low he can take the pressure mentally and just breaks down in the ring....

Go back to the Spinks fight. Long before he fought Pavlik. There was no way in hell spinks would of hurt him. Stewart was screaming at him, to get his **** together. And he still didn't do a dam think stewart asked. Not say you don't have any merit, but the guy has zero focus.

brother, the guy fought his heart out and went out on his shield...again. froch is a bigger man with a bigger heart and a bigger chin and props to him for that. but jt was throwing all night even when it was clear he was completely gassed (again his fault for not preparing properly). ok, so he's not a finisher, doesnt know when to wrap up, doesnt know whatever...but scared??

He will be back. I don't think he should come back, but he likely will return. I hope it's back at MW .

He fights afraid ? He swung for the fences since rd 1 what about that resembled fear ???

If his confidence was gone he would havew never rematched Pavlik fought Lacy or secured a fight with Froch ..Really 1 fight and you just summed up Taylor just like that ?? People are way to critical after a loss !! The man has stamina issues ..There is nothing about Taylor thats says to me he fighst afraid !

i agree. its so annoying watching jt fade down the stretch and fight so undisciplined. he's so talented and such a good guy you want him to succeed but he finds a way to give fights away. if he just went out and got housed by better fighters then ok...but to show that he has the goods to put away the man in front of him and lose b/c of something like stamina is annoying as hell from a fight fan's perspective.

i think his lack of confidence prevented him from finishing... or even taking big time risks... he just fended off froch and took risks when they were EXTREMELY available....then when he felt frochs power threw his gloves it got worse and worse throughout the fight .... i aint really worried about smw tho... people been talking about smw for YEARS and it never comes around until i see the fights fall into place i think it will be the same way

to me.. lack of confidence= being timid = being scared

I am not a Taylor fan but I noticed he wasn't
breathing heavy at the end. To be that gassed and not sucking wind is a bit weird. I tihnk he needs to take up swimming.
Frroch and Taylor are still A- fighters.
It was tied until the KO. Without the KO I would have had Froch with a 10-8 12th winning by 2 points.
Sturm isnt going to fight anyone less it is for some RIDICULOUS amount of money.
IE 5 plus million or BS like that.

Focus is a huge issue. I read somewhere (I believe) that he has attention problems. And even a person who doesn't have attention problems doesn't have as sharp an attention when they become fatigued. The problem is that most drugs that can be prescribed to help a person with ADD also increase the heart rate/blood pressure, at rest, let alone fighting a 12 round fight.
